high tea

What's more fun than going to your friends kitchen tea party? Having a "vintage upperclass english tea" theme, and dressing up in all things lace and pearls! And Emma's kitchen tea was just that! Oh how I love dress up events - and a vintage theme - well thats just got to be the best. Loved it. All the girls really got into it. Its great when everyone makes the effort to dress up - just makes the day all that more enjoyable. Emma wore this hot as ivory / white coloured lace dress ~ just amazing. Thanks to all her gorgeous bridesmaids who went to so much effort to organise games and food - it was a great success!

Our team won the "make a wedding dress out of toilet paper in 3 mins" game

I won the guessing compitition. yay.

vintage wedding gowns

I've always wanted a vintage theme to my wedding. I just think it would be so classic, so romantic, so amazing. I came across a fabulous company - the vintage wedding dress company, who clean and restore vintage wedding gowns for women who want something extra special to wear on their big day. Below are a few of my favourite images from their website. Too bad they are situated in England..... a wee bit far to travel to from Australia.

the proposal

You guessed it! Scott and I are engaged !

Scott proposed on NYE, right after the fireworks had finished. It was the most amazing feeling in the whole world. My legs were jelly, I had butterflies in my stomach, my head was spinning and I was crying uncontrollably with joy.

I can't believe how lucky we are to have had some super-smart friends with us who managed to snap some photos of this moment - I will treasure these pics forever.

new years eve 2009

This year we decided to go into the city for NYE. Our friends thought it would be nice to spend the afternoon of NYE at one of the lovely parks at Balmain - which has a wonderful view of the harbour (where the fireworks would be held). When we arrives we pretty much got the best spot - right at the front! I have no idea how we managed that! Company was great, fireworks were wonderful ... but the real amazing stuff came after the fireworks -- check the next post to find out!
