pink and grey

(dress: supre, jacket: thrifted, tights: woolies, shoes: ally, necklace: diva, bag: thailand)

No work today, so I dropped by mum and dads for lunch. Its becoming a bit of a regular thing on Tuesdays. Scott is away this week for work. He left Monday morning and wont be back till late on Friday, or maybe Saturday morning (sad face). I get pretty lonely at night time... watching t.v. and eating dinner all alone. Can't wait till he comes home.

This is the first time I can actually remember wearing this jacket. Its got a velvet feel to it which is awesome, but even better than that is the pattern on it. Its like vintage wallpaper. While the jacket is not vintage itself, I think the pattern gives it a bit of a vintage edge. Also these are my favourite tights in the whole world - $14 for a pack of two from Woolworths.

thank you caitlin

A big "thank-you" to Caitlin, for sending me a photo of this dress,
which she purchased from me via my eBay store

Appologies - the store is a bit empty right now, I'll add
more lovely things as soon as I can.

crazy love

Last Tuesday evening, I dragged Scott to the Acer Arena to see Michael Buble. We've seen him everytime he comes to Sydney. Ticket prices were pretty reasonable (i think).. but as we are saving up to buy a house, we had to opt for the cheapest ones. They cost us $90 each, and we sat on the second last row (waaaayyyyy back). Luckily we brough our Canon with us so we got some decent photos and video (if you would like to see more videos we took at the concert - click HERE. I recorded five of his songs and uploaded them onto youtube) .

So do you guys like Michael Buble at all? I'm a massive fan. I know it sounds dumb, but seriously... when he sings - it makes me feel like he is singing just for me. Hope you all had a lovely weekend xx

love is all around

(dress: thrifted, wedges: kmart, cardi: cotton on, pearls: unknown, lace umbrella: ebay)

We found a little alley way near our house which was pretty quiet... perfect for taking outfit photos! This is what I wore on Valentines Day. I found this dress at one of my local thrift stores and I totally love it. It fits perfectly. I've noticed recently (slightly delayed - I should have done this about 5 years ago) that I need to start shopping for clothes a little differently. I have the hips and bust of a woman, and most of the dresses I own just don't suit my body shape anymore. It's been a bit sad to think I have to let go of some of my favourite dresses, but at the same time... I'm pretty excited at the idea of buying new dresses!

gym day

(skinny jeans: cotton on, shoes: rubi, top: thrifted, vest: sussans)

Happy Wednesday Bloggers!
This is what I wore to work today, pretty simple - nothing special. We had gym class today which was fun - all the kids really enjoy gym. And its good for me too - gives me a break from them for an hour. I still have to be with my class during gym, but the gym instructors run the class.... all I really do is supervise.

Tomorrow is "Meet the Teachers" night at my school and I'm kinda freaking out. This is the first time I've ever been involved in something like that, and the thought of meeting parents and having to talk to them about what their children will be doing this year is quite daunting.

be mine

It's Valentines day! Hope you all have had, and are continuing to have a fabulous day. I've heard many people saying they 'hate' Valentines day. I just dont get this at all. I mean, love isnt just for romanticly involved couples... its also for sisters, best friends, sons and fathers, brothers, mothers and daughters, hell... it could even be love between you and that fur-ball of a dog you own. It doesnt have to be a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife. It's just a special day, where we get to do special things with people we love. No matter who they are - as long as we love them.

My Valentines day has been lovely.... and here are a few pictures to prove it!
We started off our day with mini pancakes and strawberries.. yum!

I left my darling hubby a special love note in his lunch box.

The heart hanging from our bedroom door handle isnt actually something I put up especially for Valentines day - it hangs there all year round, but I've decided to show it to you anyways because... well... it's a heart and it goes with today.

After lunch I got into the mood for baking. I made these delicious choc-caramel muffins. I was lucky enough to find cute patty-cases with hearts all over them at the back of my cupboard - perfect for Valentines day muffins.

After Scott came home from work, we went for a walk around the block, and took outfit photos (i'll post them separatley). When we got back home, we checked the mail..... and to our surprise, we had both sent each other Valentines Day cards.

To end the day, Scott cooked me a delicious spag-bol. He decorated the tabel with tea light candels in the shape of a heart and gave me a little gift of an owl necklace and an origami rose.

Happy Valentines Day to all my lovely bloggers out there!

dream house

We currently live in a nice sized appartment, but have plans to move into a home within the next 4-5 years or so. I find myself always looking through the "home" section of the weekend newspapers... and about a month ago I spied a really great home design by Eden Brae. Its called the "Foxley", its a one story house with a really nice open living design.

Obviously I had to see it immediatley. Scott and I drove out to the display homes recently and checked it out. Was it as good as I had imagined? Better! The only downside I could really say was the wardrobe space was quite limited in the master bedroom... but with four bedrooms (all with built-in-robes), I'm sure I could spill some of my clothes into the spare rooms right!?

Next step - Start Saving!!

greek cuisine

(top: cotton on, skirt: thrifted, shoes: target, clutch: vintage, necklace: diva)

Scott and I haven't really been on a proper date since we got married almost 6 months ago, so last night we decided to go for dinner, just the two of us, to the same restaurant we celebrated our engagement at - The Cyprus Club. If you live locally to Enmore, NSW... I really do suggest you go! Its a Greek restaurant and the food is awesome and VERY affordable. We chose a collection of smal dishes to share and it cost us $40 for the both of us. There is also live entertainment on a Friday & Saturday night.

How did you spend your Friday night?

the week that was

I have obvisouly dropped off the face of the earth. My last post was 10 days ago today - what the hell is wrong with me. Apparently I don't have the ability to juggle my work and personal life very well. Here are some photos of the last 10 days.... The last week has been quite hectic - hence my non-blogging activity of late. Promise to continue regular posting and of course read up on all your lovely blog too!
P.S. Happy Hump Day x

We suprised Dad with a weekend trip down to Melbourne for his 60th birthday. His aunty (pictured below) lives down there so we stayed with her for the weekend. She is the most giving, loving woman you will ever meet.

Scott went on a photography course a few weeks ago and learned about this nifty trick where you can make someone in the photo look like a ghost - this was his first attempt. Pretty cool I think.

(jeans: cotton on, oversized top: thrifted, wedges: kmart)

This photo was taken a few weeks back, but I still wanted to show you. Our friend Kerri-ann, hosted a May-Kay make-up party, we used lots of nice smelling products, and got to try on some cool make-up.

This is an earwig I found crawling on my leg yesterday. Needless to say I freaked out. I put a glass on it, and it enventually ran out of air and died. Problem solved.

This isnt the best photo of my classroom, but I'll take better ones and show them to you in another post. This is just the view of my desk. I put my desk by the window so I can get a good breeze in summer.
