styling for work

(left to right, top to bottom: black skinny leg jeans, suede ballet flats, dotti white tee with an open 3/4 sleeve leopard print blouse over the top / crossroads floral skinny jeans, black ballet flats & long style grey knit cardigan / purple long sleeve knit over white button up blouse with black heart print from asos / vintage floral blouse, skinny leg jeans and gold thin vintage belt)

Working as a primary school teacher has its perks. Apart from the great working hours and extra holidays throughout the year, I love not having to wear a boring uniform everyday. Of course, there are limitations to what I can wear to work - I am working with children after all! Nothing too short, or low cut at the front, and naturally nothing that I can't comfortably sit cross-legged on the floor in either. Having said that - I love having the choice to wear what I want every day. I don't have to wait to show off my personality though my outfits on the weekend, I do it everyday! And nicely enough, many of the kids appreciate my efforts with lovely comments throughout the week. What do you wear to work??

  1. Your so lucky I have to wear a very unattractive uniform everyday. Your hair grows so fast it is getting really long, are you growing it or going to keep it short?

  4. I totally agree I would hate to be stuck in a uniform although I do feel like I sometimes push the work clothes guidelines a little. My partner teaches kindly and he wears lots of colours to work and the kids love it!! I adore that white shirt with the hearts, so lovely!

  5. I love that heart print top! Lucky you that you get to dress how you want for work. For the most part, I do too, but I definitely am more myself on the weekends.
