thanks santa

Gosh, I feel so bad for not blogging for almost a week!!! Scott suprised me with a short getaway to the Gold Coast for Christmas (how sweet), so we only just got home this afternoon. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. We spent the morning at my parents house, then had lunch at my in-laws. It was a lovely day - both weather and company! Here are a few things that Santa brought for me this year...

Ok, so this one was for both Scott and I, but I'll still show you.
(Home Cinema System)

(Packed to the Rafters Season 2)

(Mug with photos from our wedding)

The Gold Coast was amazing - will post about our holiday soon!

(Two tickets to the Gold Coast for four nights and passes to all the theme parks)

I can't wait to use this one - I'm in desprate need for a good body massage!

Maybe I can blog through our TV now?

(Wireless LAN Adapter for our TV)

Scott received a matching pair of shorts too.

(Peter Alexander nightie)

(Smelly candel in a box)

(Nice smelling stuff for the bath)

(Pretty Christmas hand towels)

And don't worry guys - I haven't forgotten about the "50 followers" giveaway that i promised. Just getting myself organised, I'll be posting the givaway within the next few days.... stay tuned!

santa photo

Scott & I got a photo taken with Santa this year. Yes I know a lot of people would say perhaps we are a bit old for Santa photos.... but this is our first year as husband and wife, and heck I dont really care. We got it done at Harvey Normal, for FREE! How cool is that. Santa photos were free at Harvey Normal, if you wanted additional copies or other things like calendars or christmas baubles with your santa photo in them - that was at a cost. We just opted for the free pic with Santa. Did you get a photo with Santa this year?

christmas lights

jacket: thrifted, maxi dress: kmart, bag: vintage

Last night we joined our friends Mitchell & Emma on a walk/drive around their home looking at all the pretty christmas lights that people had decorated their homes with. Some families have gone to soo much effort, I just love it - so much christmas spirit ! Unfortunatley as we live in an appartment we can't really go all out with christmas lights - but its definatley something we would love to do when we buy a house. Do you decorate your house with any christmas lights/decorations.

luna park

Last night Scott & I joined my parents in a walk through Luna Park and through the city. I love Sydney at night night - even more so at Christmas.... all the lights are just so beautiful. Luna Park was actually closed but the front was open so we just walked in and took some random photos. It was actually the first time I've been to Luna Park - shame it was closed, we will have to go again when it's actually open.

Don't forget - givaway coming soon at 50 followers!

the new do

tops: supre. jeans: cotton on. necklace: cotton on. handbag: thailand

Ok, so I did it! I chopped off my hair!!!! It was the most intense 45 mins I've felt in a long time. Scott was there snapping away so I can show you all exactly what happened. Let's start with some before shots....

Here I have just entered the hairdressers.... i am officially scared NOW.

I decided to donate my hair to the Cancer Foundation for them to make wigs with it, so my hairdresser had to cut most of it off in one go. That was seriously the most difficult. And yes I did shed a few tears!

And ta-da! The end result! Its a bit shorter at the back than I had originally wanted, but Im happy with the result. I feel so free and liberated - you have no idea.

Thank you darling husband of mine, for sitting through 45 mins of getting my hair cut and styled, taking photos for me to load onto my blog, and supporting me in taking the plunge to cut my hair! Love you to pieces.

Some new things I have discovered since cutting my hair:

- I can actually feel the back of my neck without hair getting in the way
- I actually feel lighter, maybe I've lost weight?
- I finally look my age (not 17 anymore)
- It takes me pretty much no time at all to dry and style my hair

Thanks to everyone who left lovely comments in my previous post - you gave me the confidence to go ahead with this new style & I love it!
